Police launched a crackdown on drug abuse in pubs and clubs in Aberdeen over the weekend.
Community policing officers carried out the operation on Friday and Saturday night.
Officers used a screening device to help door stewards check for concealed drugs on customers.
Police also used a sniffer dog when the crowds got busier later in the evening.
Inspector Lorna Ferguson said: “Police Scotland is committed to assisting licensees and maintaining a safe drug-free environment within our city centre.
“The itemiser machine provides a visible deterrent to those seeking to enter pubs and clubs in possession of drugs. With support from staff, everyone entering a premises were asked to have their hand swabbed to ascertain if they had been in contact with controlled drugs.
“Where positive results were obtained, the patron was asked to account for the results and either searched or refused admission where appropriate.”
Anyone with information on drug misuse is asked to contact 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
