The incident happened last Tuesday at 4.15pm at the town’s junction between Station Road and Hospital Road. The white lorry was turning at the junction when it collided with a man, hit a wall and then drove off. The pedestrian, who is in his late teens and early 20s, suffered minor injuries. A police spokeswoman said: “Police are keen to speak with the driver and it is uncertain whether they were aware of a collision taking place.” Anyone with information should call 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
