Over 3,000 people have been fined for urinating in Aberdeen city centre in the last four years.
Police officers have been consolidating efforts to tackle anti-social behaviour which has led to the number of people fined for urinating and drinking alcohol in public sky-rocketing.
A total of 3,059 people were fined for reliving themselves between 2011 and 2o15 with a total of 784 caught short last year.
The police moves on anti-social behaviour in the centre of Aberdeen is a crucial part of the city’s on-going work in the hopes of achieving Purple Flag status, which recognises a commitment to a safe and secure night-time experience.
Instances of breach of the peace have decreased from 727 to 487 in four years, with 817 incidents in 2012.
Vandalism has also dropped from 253 reports in 2011 to 215 in 2015.
