A spokeswoman for the coastguard said: “We were called at 4.45om to an object which is believed to be a paraglider. “We are checking to see if there was anyone caught up in it.” Update: Two people have come forward and said the equipment belongs to them and the Coastguard and Lifeboat are now standing down.
