The accident, which did not involve any other vehicles, took place on the A90 southbound Aberdeen to Dundee road, near Laurencekirk, around 3.30pm. A car trailing a caravan is understood to have jack-knifed, causing the caravan to overturn A man and woman were treated by paramedics at the scene but did not require hospital treatment. The southbound carriageway was closed until the vehicles could be moved, which caused huge tailbacks for motorists. The road was eventually cleared about 5.15pm.
