Police have issued a warning ahead of tomorrow’s Scottish Premiership clash between Aberdeen FC and Celtic.
The game is a key fixture for the Dons if they are to have any hope of challenging the Scottish champions this season.
Police will be working with both clubs as well as British Transport Police to ensure there is no trouble as a result of the match.
Chief Superintendent Adrian Watson said: “Matches at Pittodrie are always a great family day out, with the overwhelming majority of fans enjoying themselves and behaving responsibly, making it one of the safest top flight match experiences in the country.
“However, I need to stress that pyrotechnics and alcohol are most certainly banned from the stadium and fans are reminded that there is a byelaw in Aberdeen that prohibits drinking open containers of alcohol in public. We will be at the ground and in the wider city centre to support the fans and ensure that things run smoothly. “
