The call was made at 10.40pm after reports of a blaze on Blenheim Lane. In response the fire service sent three units and a height vehicle to the scene. UPDATE: Fire crews have stood down now. The incident involved a chimney fire which spread to the roof. There were no injuries as a result. Speaking from the scene Watch Manager Richard Findlay said: “We were called to a chimney fire which on our arrival had spread to the loft. “We used three units to extinguish the fire.” There were in attendance for around an hour.
