The incident happened just after 9.30am on Old Skene road at Westhill. The road was closed in both directions following the incident, which involved a silver Vauxhall Astra and traffic was diverted through Hay’s Way. A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “The cyclist received medical attention at the road side but he was managing to speak and breathe. “Paramedics treated the cyclist at the scene of the crash but later decided to take him to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. “The cyclist was complaining of hip injuries which is the reason why he was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.” The road has been reopened.
