Council chiefs have warned that bars, restaurants and shops in Aberdeen could have their premise licences revoked if they fail to pay in time.
Members of the city’s licensing board have called for all businesses to meet the deadline of October 1.
Letters were sent out last month to all 650 premises in the city which possess a licence.
Councillor Marie Boulton, convener of the licensing board, said: “The licensing board has a duty to hold to account license holders who do not meet the conditions of their licences, which in this case concerns payment of annual fees.
“It is in the interests of all parties involved that the fees are paid timeously, and this reminder will hopefully ensure all licence holders will comply.”
