North-east road closed following three vehicle smash

The B979 Stonehaven to Netherley road is closed following a three vehicle collision earlier this afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the crash at 2.40pm and police, ambulance and fire services are all in attendance.

The collision involved a white Ford Ranger, a white Fiat Ducato campervan and a silver Volkswagen Polo.

It is understood that firefighters are using gear to remove one person from the car.

A police spokesman said: “There are injuries but it is unclear as this stage how serious they are.

“The road is expected to be closed for another hour.”
