Police are appealing for information after a man was attacked on a busy Aberdeen road.
The 38-year-old was assaulted near Farmfoods, on Great Northern Road, at about 7.30pm on Thursday.
He was taken to hospital with facial injuries.
Officers are seeking a man who was seen in the area immediately prior to the assault, who is described as being in his mid 20s, approximately 5ft 7in and of slim build.
He was wearing a black hooded top, black shorts and black trainers.
Detective Constable Gavin Fleming said: “Officers are carrying out inquiries into this incident, and are reviewing CCTV footage in an effort to gather information on the person responsible.
“There were a few people in the area at the time of the assault, and I urge anyone who may have witnessed this incident or know of anyone who matches the description of the male to contact the police.”
