Picture by KEVIN EMSLIE A boy has been taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary after being hit by a car on Balnagask Road. Harvey Gilchrist, 5, was hit by a Vauxhall Astra at around 5.25pm. He lives with his grandfather on the street, who said from the scene: “He was hit by a car on his way to get a sweet from the shop. “He is being kept in overnight at the hospital but his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.” The road was blocked between Mansfield Road and Loirston Place as police carried on investigations. It was reopened at 7pm.
