A group of employees from engineering firm PD&MS Energy completed the Ride the North biking challenge to raise funds for emergency care charity the Sandpiper Trust.
The group of 16 began in Inverness and covered 170 miles of Highland terrain over two days before finishing in Stonehaven – and raised £8,600 in the process.
The team was made up of people from different parts of the Aberdeen-based business.
Mark Lunney, who works as director of projects, said: “The ride was extremely tough this year, for both the new members of our cycle squad and those of us completing it a third time.
“The support from our family, friends and colleagues has been truly phenomenal.
“The Sandpiper Trust is an extremely worthy cause close to all of our hearts as you never know when a loved one might need emergency care whilst out in rural areas.”
The charity aims to help save lives in Scotland by improving emergency care to remote areas by providing medical equipment, known as Sandpiper Bags.
These are used by specially-trained GPs, community nurses, paramedics and A&E consultants who work on a voluntary basis.
There are currently 910 Sandpiper Bags in use throughout Scotland.
