Police and ambulance and fire teams were called to the scene of the accident on the A90, close to the Ellon bypass just before 1pm. The incident, which involved a lorry and a car, is understood to have not resulted in any serious injuries. Motorists are currently being diverted through Ellon along the A948, A920 and B9005 roads while the emergency services attend the scene. It is not currently known when the road will re-open. UPDATE: The driver of the lorry had to be cut from his cab by fire teams after he became trapped in the wreckage of the crash. He is believed to have suffered arm and leg injuries. The condition of the car driver is still not known. Diversions are still in place.
