Two lorries have collided on a north-east road.
Fire crews were made aware of the incident by police at around 1.26 pm on the A90 just north of Balmedie.
They have dispatched two appliances from Ellon and one from Aberdeen’s central fire station along with a heavy rescue appliance from North Anderson Drive.

A police spokesperson said: “Police Scotland is currently in attendance at a serious road traffic collision involving two HGVs and a car which happened at around 1.20pm on the A90 Foveran to Balmedie road near Hatterseat.
“The road has been closed and diversions are in place.”

The A90 remains closed with very slow traffic in both directions between the B977 junction in Balmedie and the B9000 junction in Tipperty.
Police are on the scene directing traffic.
A diversion is in operation – Southbound via B9000 to Pitmedden, then B999 through Whitecairns and B977 through Belhelvie.
Northbound is the same but in reverse.
The road will remain closed for several hours.
