The funeral of a football coach whose body was found near Fraserburgh is to take place this week.
Friends and family will gather together to remember Kevin Bartlet at Ellon Parish Church at 11am on Friday, October 2.
The body of the Ellon Academy IT technician and Aberdeen FC supporter was discovered at Tyrie, near Fraserburgh on Tuesday, September 15, after he was reported missing the previous day.
Kevin’s family have asked those attending to wear red tops and ties in memory of the popular football coach who was the president of the Aberdeenshire Secondary Schools Football Association.
The Red Army have already paid their respects to the dedicated Dons fan by putting on a display at last Saturday’s Scottish Premiership match in Inverness.
Supporters are also hoping to turn Pittodrie red by unveiling a banner in the stadium reading “AFC born and bred. Always a red. RIP big Kev” at Saturday’s match against St Johnstone.
Floral tributes or donations towards Scoliosis Research are welcome at the funeral.
