Hawks will be used to deter other birds from the site
Hawks will swoop in to play their part in increasing public safety during the construction of the Aberdeen Bypass.
Birds can be attracted to developments the scale of the AWPR because of the opportunity it gives them to feed on worms in the soil.
Developers are concerned that this could cause problems for planes flying overhead, due to the scheme’s proximity to Aberdeen International Airport.
The birds of prey would be used in areas as far as Kingswells and Blackdog where development work is taking place in a bid to prevent birds from flying in the path of planes.
