A thief brandished a weapon before robbing a man on a busy Aberdeen street.
Police said the 47-year-old was left “shaken” by the incident outside the Bank of Scotland on the A90 Aberdeen to Ellon road, in Bridge of Don.
He is said to have been robbed of under £50 by another man aged between 35 and 40 during the incident yesterday at 8.15pm.
Officers said the thief presented a weapon before taking the man’s money and heading off in the direction of Scotstown Road.
The victim was not injured during the incident.
Police are looking to speak to the driver of a Vauxhall Vectra seen in the area prior to the robbery.
The suspect is described as between 5ft 6in and 5ft 7in tall, of medium build, with thick dark eyebrows, short dark hair and a round face.
He was wearing light coloured jogging bottoms and a dark fleece at the time of the incident.

“Bridge of Don is a safe place to live and incidents like this are extremely rare. We will be carrying out increased patrols in the area but we also rely on members of the public to report anything unusual or that concerns them to us.
