Aberdeen businesswoman to face Alan Sugar in The Apprentice

A businesswoman in Aberdeen will face the ultimate test of her entrepreneurial skills when she takes part in thew new series of The Apprentice.

Aisha Kasim will battle it out against 17 others as she bids for the £250,000 prize.

The 30-year-old is the founder of Madame Hair in Aberdeen in 2007, which sells hair extensions, wigs and ponytails.

The store first appeared in the Trinity Centre and relocated to Dundee in 2009.

She moved to Aberdeen at the age of 15 and lived in Garthdee and now resides in London.

In 2009 she was named including being the runner-up in the Grampian Prince’s Trust Scottish Youth Business Awards.

Her biggest achievement to date is the invention of the world’s first “Hot Donut Hair Bun” – a hair accessory which heats itself and curls locks.

In her audition for the show she said:

“I would describe myself as someone who is creative, dynamic, has a unique personality, fun and a but single-minded as well”

Her opening appearance will be aired next Wednesday.
