One lane of a major north-east road has been closed following a collision between a lorry and a van.
The accident happened around 10am on the southbound lane of the A90 Aberdeen to Dundee road, near the turn-off to the Castleton Farm Shop at Laurencekirk.
A man has been taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee after being cut free from a vehicle at the scene.
The southbound lane is currently closed to all traffic.
A diversion is in place via the A92 coastal route as emergency services attend.
The driver of the lorry is not thought to be injured.
