Two cars have collided on the same north-east road a 28-year-old man died last night.
Emergency services were called to the scene of the crash on the B9001 Inverurie to Rotheinorman road near Badenscoth House Nursing Home at around 1.15pm with reports a man is trapped within a vehicle.
Police are describing the incident as “serious” and have said a man has been taken to to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary by ambulance after the smash between the blue Renault Clio and the black Vauxhall Astra.

Last night, the driver of the white Vauxhall Corsa van was pronounced dead at the scene after the vehicle crashed with a blue Honda CRV on the B9001 near the Mains of Glack.
The 39-year-old female driver of the Honda was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with serious injuries following the incident, which happened at about 6.50pm.
A fire service spokesman said: “We have sent two appliances, one from Turriff and one from Insch.”
