The incident happened on Laurel Drive just before 4pm last Monday, near the junction with the Persley Bridge roundabout. A blue Audi Q5 and a motorcycle were both involved in the collision, which led to the car crashing into the metal barriers by the side of the road. The bonnet of the vehicle was crumpled, while a wheel had been ripped from the front of the car. Officers have since launched an inquiry into the circumstances that led to the crash. Police are calling on anyone who may be able to help to come forward by contacting them on 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
