A young man killed in a car crash on Saturday (Ocotber 17) has been named.
George Dow, 28, from Rothienorman died after he was involved in a crash on the B9001 Inverurie to Rothienorman road, near Daviot.
His family have released a brief statement through Police Scotland: “As a family, we are devastated at the sudden and tragic loss of George.
“We would very much appreciate if we could be left to grieve in peace.”
The collision happened at around 6:50pm on Saturday 17 October.
A 39-year-old woman, who was also involved in the smash remains in hospital with serious injuries.
A 39-year-old man, a 9-year-old boy and a 7-year-old girl travelling in the same car as the seriously injured woman have all been released from hospital having sustained minor injuries.
Police have reissued their appeal for any witnesses to contact them on 101.
