Wet weather in Aberdeen looks to be drying up

After a largely dry week Aberdeen was hit by a deluge of rain earlier this morning making it a miserable start to the weekend for some.

The downpour is expected to last for another hour or so but the worst has already passed.

The weather is also likely to improve over the next few days.

A met office spokesman said: “Over a three hour period between around 8.am and 11.am we saw around 19.88 millimeters of rain.

“Over the next hour to and hour and a half there will be light to moderate rain but over the rest of the day it is likely to be dry.

“Tomorrow there may be some rain in the afternoon but Monday and Tuesday should both be dry.”
