The crash took place on the A947 Fyvie to Oldmeldrum road to the south of St Katherines at around 3.25am. Mr Geals, 47, had been driving a black Peugot 208 which collided with a white HGV. Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them on 101.
