A Cults Academy pupil described the aftermath of the attack yesterday.
The 16-year-old was in the school building when Bailey was allegedly stabbed in a corridor next to the dining hall.
UPDATE: A 16-year-old pupil has been charged
He said: “I was in a study class, I didn’t see anything, I just heard the sirens.
“I came round the side door into the maths corridor and just along the corridor I heard one of the teachers shouting ‘what’s going on?’
“Then I went to the toilet and a pupil stopped me and asked me if I knew what was going on and he informed me that Bailey had been stabbed.
“The teachers tried to keep Bailey conscious, while some teachers were doing that the others ushered pulls away. I don’t think they really wanted anyone to see anything like that. It was traumatising.
“I heard they were all trying to resuscitate him and a few pupils were applying pressure to his wounds before the ambulance got here.”
Jack said he did not know Bailey well because he had moved to the school about two years before.
He said: “He always thought of his fitness and he was determined to be a marine.”
He said the two boys had ended up arguing and the row got out of hand.
He said: “I know they didn’t always get along but I never thought it was this bad.
“They had quite conflicted views.
“But it was just childish stuff, I never thought it would be anything more than that.
“They just got on each other’s nerves.”
