A number of flights coming to and from Aberdeen International Airport have been cancelled this evening due to heavy fog over much of the UK.
Despite clear skies above the north-east, many flights coming into the Granite City from Heathrow, Manchester and Norwich were cancelled due to the weather.
Certain flights departing from the Dyce airport, with destinations including Humberside and the East Midlands, have also been cancelled.
A spokesman for Aberdeen International Airport has confirmed that there have been 23 cancellations so far, for flights both leaving from and arriving in Aberdeen, all due to the heavy fog across much of England.
The spokesman said: “We’re suffering a lot of delays, and unfortunately a lot of cancellations, all due to weather down south, from Manchester down.
“We’ve had no cancellations other than weather cancellations today.”
