Police have launched an inquiry after an Aberdeen newsagent was robbed last night.
At about 8.40pm, a man, who had covered his face with a scarf, entered Icon Stores on Oscar Road, Torry, and forced a staff member to hand over cash and cigarettes.
The culprit is described as between 25 – 40 years, 6ft tall, thin, wearing dark trousers and a dark jacket with a dark hoodie jumper underneath.
The shop worker was uninjured but left alarmed and shaken by the incident.
Officers – including plain-clothes detectives – swooped on the store and were there for several hours after the incident.
