Early morning power cut hits north-east postcodes

Residents ofBridge of Don, Balmedie, Whitecairns and areas in between were hit by a power cut this morning.

A statement on Scottish and Southern Energy’s website said: “We apologise for the loss of supply.

“We currently have a fault affecting the areas listed. (AB22 AB23)

“Our engineers are on site working to get the power back on as quickly as they can.

“If you need more information, please call us on 0800 300 999 and quote reference ‘AC4531’.”

Engineers have been working to solve the outage.
