Police are appealing for information about two separate assaults in Turriff.
Officers are stepping up their patrols in response to the incidents, which happened over Halloween.
The first incident is believed to have happened at around 9.30pm on October 21 on Cheyne’s place near Main Street. A 16-year-old man sustained minor injuries in the assault. The suspect is believed to be a man who was wearing dark clothing.
The second assault took place outside Tesco on High Street, at around 1:30am on Sunday, November 1. The suspect is described as a man in his 20s, approximately 6ft slim build, with short hair and wearing a white T-shirt. The victim, a 21-year-old man, suffered minor injuries.
Police have can also charged a 26-year-old man in connection with two assaults in the Castle Street and Clifton Road areas of the town on October 31. A report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal.
