A service is due to be held for 16-year-old Bailey Gwynn who was found severely injured at Cults Academy on October 28. He was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary but later died in hospital. A notice released on behalf of Bailey’s family has revealed that his funeral will be held in private. They also thanked the local community for their support. “Following the sad loss of Bailey, aged 16 years, a private funeral will be held,” the notice said. “Bailey’s family would like to thank the community for their kindness and support at this time.” A teenager has since been charged with Bailey’s murder. The 16-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is accused of killing the teenager by striking him on the body with a knife. He is also charged with being in possession of a “bladed” weapon and an “offensive weapon” while on the grounds of a school. He is currently remanded in custody.
