A missing Aberdeen teenager who sparked a major search of the city has been found “safe and well” in a city suburb.
Guy Taylor, 14, was last seen his Westburn Road home in Aberdeen last night, at about 9pm.
Police searched the family home extensively looking for clues as to his whereabouts.
Specialist search teams, and police dogs, also scoured Westburn Park and Victoria Park for any signs of the boy.
His disappearance was said to be “out of character” promoting fears for his safety.
But police managed to narrow their search to the Bridge of Don area where he was found at around 9.30pm.
A police spokeswoman said: “Police Scotland can confirm that 14 year old Guy Taylor who had been reported missing earlier has been traced safe and well in the Bridge of Don area.
“The media are thanked for their assistance and coverage. Members of the public are also thanked for their valuable assistance. Calls received today from the public with information of potential sightings enabled officers to focus their efforts accordingly, and led to the positive outcome.”
