Thrillseekers are in for a treat at Aberdeen’s winter festival with confirmation that one of the country’s fastest and wildest rides is coming to the Granite City.
Aberdeen Inspired and Aberdeen City Council are organising the Christmas village and Codona’s are providing a number of rides, with the Bomber ride set to be the highlight.
The popular ‘Bomber’ stands at 50m tall and travels at speeds up to 90mph, as shown in the video above, shot by David Kirkman Videos.
The ride will add to the Christmas themed “village” to be set up along Union Terrace, including an ice rink, entertainment marquee, German market stalls and several fairground rides.
The skating arena, which was located in Union Terrace Gardens last year and the Castlegate in 2013, will be based at the grassed area in front of His Majesty’s Theatre.
As part of the plans, Union Terrace will be closed to all vehicles from November 26 to January 3 to allow revellers to enjoy the market stalls, funfair rides and ice skating.
