Speeding drivers have been caught travelling at more than 100mph on Aberdeenshire roads this week.
Police carrying out speed checks on the A96 Aberdeen to Huntly road caught eight drivers flouting the law on Wednesday.
Two men, aged 24 and 62, were snared doing speeds of 113mph and 122mph on the dual carriageway between Inverurie and Kintore. Both have been charged with dangerous driving.
Another six drivers have been reported to the procurator fiscal after being caught driving between 86mph and 103mph on the 60mph stretch between Inverurie and Huntly.
The men, aged between 26 and 46, have been charged and will be reported to the procurator fiscal.
Sergeant Steve Manson, from the trunk roads policing group, said: “Despite highly publicising our activity on the roads, it’s clear the message is still not getting through to a minority of selfish drivers who continue to put others, and themselves, at risk by continuing to disregard safety and drive in such a manner.
“It’s deeply concerning that all of the speeds detected between 86mph and 122 miles per hour were recorded at one of the busiest time of the day, between 4pm and 6pm.
“With inappropriate speed still being the factor in many fatal and serious collisions, officers from the trunk road patrol group and divisional road policing units will continue to work together to actively target drivers who continue to
ignore these messages, issuing fixed penalties or reporting any offenders where appropriate.”
