An Aberdeen restaurant has been crowned the best takeaway in Scotland.
Popular Indian restaurant, Cinnamon @ Home, based on the city’s Merkland Road East won the award at the British Takeaway Awards in London.
The glitzy awards bash, hosted by celebrity couple Tess Daly and Vernon Kaye, at the Savoy Hotel, rewarded restaurants across the UK, with over 100,000 people casting votes on their favourite eateries.
As well as the famous couple handing out the awards, the star-studded guest list included Ainsley Harriott, Joey Essex, Lauren Pope and Liz McClarnon.
The award is the latest gong for the restaurant which was also named Scotland’s Takeaway of the Year 2013 and claimed the Just Eat Tried & Tasted Award 2013.
The awards evening honoured 13 restaurants in different categories, with Chris’s Fish & Chips, in Barwell, East Midlands, named the best takeaway in the UK.
