Police have been attempting to trace a missing man named Allan Christie, 80, who was reported missing from his home in Cove at 1pm. Now, working in partnership with the coastguard, both of Aberdeen’s RNLI lifeboats have been dispatched to assist police in the ongoing search. Two coastguard teams, one from Aberdeen and one from Stonehaven, have also been dispatched. He was last seen in the Clashrodney Road area, is described as 5 foot 8 in, well built and with grey hair and a grey beard. Mr Christie was described as wearing a black quilted jacket, grey casual trousers, and a black peaked hat. He is known to walk with a stick. Police have asked anyone with information about Mr Christie’s whereabouts to contact them on 101.
