Three teenagers have been charged in connection with a robbery at a convenience store in Stonehaven last week.
A Police Scotland statement said: “Police Scotland can confirm that three youths, aged 13, 16 and 17, have been charged in connection with the robbery at ‘Best One’ convenience store, Kings Road, Stonehaven, which occurred on Thursday 19 November.
“The three boys are expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Monday 23 November.”
Inspector Fionnuala McPhail of the Stonehaven Community Policing Team said: “On behalf of Police Scotland, I would like to thank the numerous members of the public who came forward with key information which has assisted us with this case.
“The fact so many people have come forward, shows how close a community Stonehaven is.
“There is still a feeling of shock that an incident of this sort has taken place, but I would hasten to add, that this is a particularly unusual incident for Stonehaven and our response shows that we will not tolerate this kind of behaviour.”
