Police are seeking vandals who caused £600 of damage to a car parked on a driveway overnight in a rural Aberdeenshire hamlet.
Four people are being sought after striking at the property in Montgarrie, near Alford, last Sunday at 2.45am – damaging a black Toyota Yaris.
Police said the cost of repairing the car would be between £500 and £600.
Investigator, PC Shiree Miller, said: “We are keen to speak with anyone who may have seen a group of four individuals in the area or any vehicles being driven nearby around the time of the vandalism.
“Incidents of this nature are thankfully rare for the area and we are hoping that any suspicious activity would have stood out to members of the public that witnessed it.
“Anyone with information is urged to contact Police Scotland on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if you wish to remain anonymous.”
