Two top comedians have added extra dates for their Aberdeen performances after high demand for tickets.

In addition to his already-booked Friday, August 12 show, Jimmy Carr is to stage his The Best Of, Ultimate, Gold, Greatest Hits show again the following night (Saturday, August 13).

And Sarah Millican, who had already extended her Outside tour by an additional night for Aberdeen on August 18 and 20, is now adding another performance on Sunday, August 21.

Tickets for both Jimmy and Sarah’s extra shows go on sale this Friday online at www.aberdeenperformingarts.com, by phone at 01224 641122 and at Aberdeen Box Office at the Music Hall and His Majesty’s Theatre.

Aberdeen performing Arts press manager Joyce Summers, said: “We are delighted to add these additional nights…

“Both Jimmy and Sarah appear regular on our television screens and are in much demand globally, so it’s wonderful to be able to give even more fans the chance to get up-close-and-personal with these two stellar performers in such an intimate venue at His Majesty’s Theatre.”

Jimmy Carr has been on the stand-up scene for more than a decade, and in that time has performed nine sell-out tours, playing nearly 2000 shows to over two million people across four continents.

He’s won the British Comedy Award for Best Live Stand-Up Tour and been nominated for the Perrier Award – and all that experience is being together into his greatest hits tour.

Listed last year as one of the 100 most powerful women in the United Kingdom by Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour, Sarah Millican has fast established herself as a household name since winning the 2008 if.comedy Best Newcomer Award for her debut solo show, Sarah Millican’s Not Nice at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

She has had six nominations for British Comedy Awards who crowned her The People’s Choice: Queen of Comedy in 2011. She’s also been BAFTA nominated in 2013 and 2014 for her work on her self-titled telly programme of which she has made three series.
