Police are investigating an alleged “incident” at an after school club, it emerged yesterday.
It is understood that a staff member has been suspended at the after school club in Aberdeen while enquires are ongoing.
Police are working alongside the Care Inspectorate watchdog and Aberdeen City Council.
The out of hours service for youngsters attending a nearby primary school, in the Granite City’s West End, was set up in 2001 by parents.
It is a not-for-profit charity organisation which is delivered by privately owned nursery Great Western Pre-School.
The club can cater for up to 40 children and helps parents or guardians balance their work and family life.
Officials refused to elaborate on the nature of the alleged incident yesterday but it is understood that police are leading the enquiry.
