Plans have been approved to allow drinking alcohol in public places in Aberdeen during the Christmas period.
Aberdeen Licensing Board has agreed to lift the bylaw to allow allow alcohol to be sold at the city’s Christmas Village.
Alcoholic drinks will now be available throughout the city’s Christmas Village, which runs until January 3.
Beer, cider and wine will be on sale from 10am-10pm, with spirits on sales between 5pm and 10pm.
Union Terrace has been transformed into the Granite City’s Christmas village, with a variety of festive fun on offer.
The open air ice rink is the focal point among a range of attractions, including fairground rides and a German market.
There is also an entertainment marquee and food and drink stands.
The line-up for the marquee has been organised by Breakneck Comedy and includes a host of talented comedians, bands, singers and choirs.
These include Best Girl Athlete, the Rock Choir, the Lorelai, Iron Broo and Dirty Shoes as well as Gary Meikle, Jordon Young and Jamie Dalgleish among others.
Led by Aberdeen Inspired in partnership with Aberdeen City Council and Codona’s, the village will be open until January 3.
