Aberdeen City Council has issued more than 350 penalty notices to drivers since introducing double yellow lines in and around Duthie Park. The lines were brought in two years ago and community leaders say locals are still being “plagued” by cars parking in the area. Councillor Graham Dickson said: “There is a real problem with people parking in the Duthie Park area illegally. “These people are doing this and then going into work rather than actually using the park.” A three-hour parking limit was implemented at the city park earlier this summer. Drivers who stop at Duthie Park for more than three hours at a time during the week face a £60 fine.
