The Movember campaign asks men to grow the facial hair in the month of November to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer. The group of academics, who mostly work studying fungus, made £1,750 through growing the facial hair and holding bake sales. Team member Duncan William said: “We are extremely grateful to the many donors who gave so generously to this worthy cause. “They made the ridicule throughout the month of November worthwhile.” Anyone wishing to donate can do so through: https://uk.movember.com/team/2003617
