The red deer was caught at Glenmuick, near Ballater, this morning as snow continued to fall in inland Aberdeenshire. Communities in the region’s Highland border woke up to yet more snow today, turning villages such as Braemar into a winter wonderland. Between 1in and 4in were expected to fall in areas of Aberdeenshire, but as the weather turns milder this will turn to rain in some areas.
