A website which surfaced earlier this year that contained hundreds of private sexual images of women from all across the north-east has gone offline.
Hundreds of nude pictures of young women were posted on the site, with victims from towns such as, Peterhead, Ellon, Banchory and Fraserburgh.
Users both uploaded and requested images of women from particular regions, with the vast majority of pictures from Aberdeen.
Some strangers even requested intimate pictures of certain girls by name.
Although the disgusting website was first flagged up to police by The Press and Journal in August, it is understood that it was still operational as recently as a few weeks ago.
But now the internet domain that the website was hosted on has gone offline, with only a few lines of text remaining on the web page.
Police have confirmed that an official investigation into the website is still ongoing, however they could not confirm if the site going offline had any relation to the investigation.
