PICTURES: Aberdeenshire floods as River Dee bursts its banks

The River Dee burst it’s banks in Ballater on Saturday, causing low lying areas of the town to flood.
Three houses were evacuated and a rest centre was opened.
The situation was closely monitored in Aboyne, where there was a risk of flooding.
A rest centre was put on standby but so far has not been needed.
More rain and strong gales are expected again tonight and into tomorrow morning with the possibility of more flooding in Ballater and Aboyne in the early hours.
Sandbags are available at various points in both Ballater and Aboyne as well as the roads depots in both communities.
