VIDEO: Salmon swaps River Dee for golf course after storm

This is the moment a stunned greenkeeper found a King of Fish swimming around the sand trap on Peterculter golf course after Storm Desmond.

A surprised golfer filmed the discovery before the salmon was freed to the safety of the River Dee.

Greenkeeper Dylan Meinen of the Peterculter Golf Club couldn’t believe his eyes when he saw the distressed fish swimming in a bunker near the third hole at the club in Aberdeenshire .

He said: “I’ve seen it all now. A salmon stuck in the bunker at the 3rd after the flood.”

Dylan who carried the salmon to the safety of the river five yards away said: “We struggled for a few minutes then my boss scooped it up in his hands – it was funny to watch.

We dropped it in the river and away it went. It still had plenty of life in it.”Dylan posted a video of the stuck salmon on his Facebook page and it soon went viral.
