Police are looking for witnesses after a 22 year old man was assaulted in a north-east town.
The incident happened at about 6;30pm on Friday December 4 on Bank Lane, Forres.
The attacker is thought to have been about 20 years of age and is described as 6ft 1, skinny build, short light brown hair, wearing a white hooded top with print on the front and had the hood up and wore dark trousers and shoes.
He was accompanied by another man also thought to be about 20 years old, 5ft 2, skinny build, wearing a blue hoodie top with the writing “cross hatch” on the front and had his hood up. He was wearing khaki coloured trousers and black trainers. Both males are described as having local accents.
Constable Jamie Walker, who is making enquiries into the incident, said: “The assault happened early in the evening about 1835 hours on Friday 4 December 2015 and was on a quieter street just off the Forres High Street. The males responsible then made their way onto Forres High Street shortly afterwards which would have been busy at this time of the evening.
“We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the assault or anyone who may be able to identify these males responsible.”
Anyone with information regarding the incident is urged to contact Police Scotland on 101.
