Police are investigating an incident of religiously motivated threatening behaviour at an Aberdeen bargain shop.
The incident took place at the Poundland in Berryden Retail Park on Tuesday, June 30, and is believed to have been motivated by religious prejudice.
Officers have now released an image of a man they wish to speak to who was in the store on the day, as he may be able to assist with their inquiries.
However, they were yesterday unable to confirm if the man was directly involved.
The man was described by the police as being aged in his mid 40s, around 5ft 6in with a skinny build, short brown hair and a local accent.
Constable John Fraser, who is leading the inquiry, said: “The individual involved in this incident behaved in an aggressive manner which caused considerable alarm.
“We believe this man who was in the store at the time can assist us with our inquiries and I would urge anyone who recognises him to make contact with the police and provide any information they may have which could be of assistance.”
Those with information can contact the police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if they wish to remain anonymous.
