A pub which has been a mainstay at Aberdeen Harbour for at least 100 years will call last orders for the final time on Saturday night before it is transformed into flats.
Plans to convert the Crown and Anchor venue at Regent Quay into flats were granted by Aberdeen City Council last month.
A long-standing constant of the Aberdeen Harbour area, the pub even appeared on the BBC documentary television series The Harbour, where its barmaid Val Morrison captivated audiences across Scotland with her quick wit and cheery laugh.
Miss Morrison said: “I’ve worked here for 22 years, it’s been a huge part of my life and the people aren’t just customers to me, they’re all like family.
“It’s sad to see the bar close, but I’m happy to have one last shift.”
All are welcome to the bar’s big send off on Saturday evening.
